We are an in-home family child care facility operating in North Vancouver. It is our goal to provide child centered care that is also in line with the individual values and preferences of families. Blue Moon Child Care is a family run business with qualified and experienced staff. Our manager has a BA in Psychology with a focus on child development and education and all staff are first aid certified. We have used our combined experience to develop a play-based program that provides a valuable space for children to learn, have fun, and flourish.

Philosophy Statement

We believe that children of this age learn best through play, and we work on creating an emergent curriculum based on the interests of the children which incorporates diversity. Our main focus is on enhancing child development in many areas (cognition, interpersonal skills, motor skills, creativity) in enjoyable and age appropriate ways. Beyond that, we seek to provide a healthy and open environment where both children and parents feel comfortable expressing their needs and concerns.
